The latest original from Chris’ Homespun Jazz series. Monkeee Business draws from the playful style of many of Thelonious Monk’s tunes. This tune features Chris on an Eastman 803 electric jazz guitar as well as a midi guitar for the B-3 organ and bass. Click to listen:

This original tune features two guitars, a midi guitar for the B-3 organ, midi bass and percussion. The second guitar solo and some guitar rhythm is played by Bill Stone of Milwaukee WI.

Blueszilla is an original tune intended to be a hard driving “blues brutalist” performance. It includes Chris on electric and midi guitars and features long time friend and collaborator Bill Stone on electric guitar. The percussion and B3 Organ are both performed on a midi guitar by Chris. An audience background is also added to amplify the live mood.

This song was written by Antonio Carlos Jobim and has been covered by numerous musicians. Chris performs it on a nylon string guitar. The bass and B3 organ are played by Chris on a midi guitar. The drums were generated by Band in a Box and then heavily edited to fit the tune. Special thanks to Baden Powell his influence on this guitar arrangement.

This is an original tune recorded with an Eastman 803 arch top jazz guitar and a PRS Custom 24 set up for midi. The B3 organ is a midi instrument provided with Logic Pro. The first guitar solo is performed by Bill Stone from Milwaukee WI on a PRS Custom 24. The other guitar parts and the B3 were performed by Chris.

Sauntering Bob is an original tune and was recorded in the same way as The Old Gray Goose is Back but without Mr. Stone’s wonderful guitar playing.

This original tune was recorded using a Yamaha SLG Nylon guitar through a Fishman Aura. The drums and bass were generated using the Band In a Box style and the resulting midi files edited extensively to fit the tune.

The Search is an original tune and was recorded using the same guitar setup as Secret Samba Man. The drums and bass were generated using the Band In a Box style and the resulting midi files edited extensively to fit the tune.
